Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: Requires owners of specific Beechcraft King Air aircraft to inspect the anti-siphon devices fitted to their auxiliary fuel filler ports.

Who it affects: Operators of Beechcraft Model F90 aircraft with serial numbers LA-2 through LA-62.

What must be done: Verify that the correct anti-siphon assembly is installed on the auxiliary fuel filler ports. These devices prevent fuel from draining or siphoning out of the tanks inappropriately.

Deadline: Complete the inspection within 100 flight hours after 31 July 1983, unless already done.

Why it matters: Incorrect anti-siphon assemblies could allow fuel to leak or drain improperly, creating fire risks or potential fuel starvation during flight. This update (Amendment 1) refreshes the directive to reference corrected manufacturer instructions and a new modification kit, but doesn't change the core safety requirement.
