Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What this does: This directive mandates a safety modification for specific Beechcraft King Air aircraft. Owners must install additional rivets in the elevator control horn attachments to prevent the control connection from becoming loose.

Who it affects: Operators of Beechcraft Model F90 aircraft with serial numbers LA-2 through LA-43.

Why it matters: A loose elevator control horn attachment could compromise the pilot's ability to control the aircraft's pitch. The modification must be completed within 100 flight hours after 31 May 1981 (unless already accomplished).

How to comply: The directive references Beechcraft Service Instruction No. 1111 Rev. 1, which contains the specific technical procedure for installing the rivets.
