What this document does

This officially scraps an old safety rule for certain Beechcraft King Air aircraft.

Who it affects

Owners and operators of Beechcraft Model 90 and 65-90 series aeroplanes (commonly known as King Airs).

What changed

The previous rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 90/39) required two specific modifications:

• Installing bonding points for fuelling equipment — safety grounding to prevent static sparks during refuelling
• Installing a warning light — to indicate power failure for the turn and slip indicator (a flight instrument showing if the aircraft is turning properly)

Why it matters

You no longer need to make these modifications. The aviation safety authority cancelled the underlying regulation (ANO 101.22) that authorised them, so this specific directive is now unnecessary. This removes compliance costs and maintenance burdens for affected aircraft owners.
