Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive mandates a safety fix for specific Beechcraft aircraft to prevent pilots from getting their feet trapped.

Who this affects: Owners and operators of Beechcraft 77 Skipper aeroplanes with serial numbers WA-2 through WA-80.

What you must do: Modify the aircraft according to the technical instructions in Beechcraft Service Instruction No. 1124. This fixes a design flaw where the pilot's or co-pilot's foot could become trapped forward of the control column floor console, potentially restricting movement during critical flight phases.

When: The modification had to be completed before 1 November 1980.

Why it matters: The directive removes a physical hazard that could impair pilot control of the aircraft, ensuring safer operation.
