Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What this is: An Airworthiness Directive (a mandatory safety order) issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) requiring a specific mechanical modification to certain Beechcraft aircraft.

What it requires: Owners or operators must modify the control sub-panel shelf (a structural component near the cockpit controls) according to the manufacturer's instructions in Beechcraft Service Bulletin 67-5.

Who it affects: Only specific Beechcraft Queen Air aeroplanes:

Model 65 with serial numbers LC-1 to LC-239
Models 65-80, 65-A80, and 65-B80 with serial numbers LD-1 to LD-318

Deadline: Within 50 hours of flight time after 24 May 1967.

Why it matters: Airworthiness Directives are legally binding. Non-compliance grounds the aircraft—you cannot fly legally until the work is done.
