Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

Mandates inspection of cabin, baggage and pilot-compartment side windows on specified Beechcraft Queen Air 65-series aeroplanes (listed serial numbers). Initial inspect within 50 hours from 7 July 1981 and then every 300 hours or 1 year until windows are replaced per Beechcraft SI No. 0711-110 Rev.111.

It applies to aircraft owners/operators and maintenance organisations who must fund and perform inspections and any replacements; the Civil Aviation Safety Authority enforces the directive. The requirement responds to in-service window failures and creates recurring inspection and replacement costs and operational scheduling constraints.
