Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of specified Beechcraft Queen Air 65 and 70 series aircraft (listed by serial number) to perform recurring inspections of rudder and elevator trim-tab systems. Using Beechcraft Service Information 0691‑133 and 0691‑135 (Rev. 2), check for excessive freeplay in linkages and actuators — first within 100 flight hours after 30 June 1980, then every 100 hours. The checks prevent worn parts from causing control flutter or loss of trim stability.
