Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

The directive requires owners/operators and maintenance personnel of Beechcraft 65/70 aircraft fitted with non‑reinforced plastic control wheels to perform visual inspections for cracking at intervals no greater than every 100 hours TIS (effective after 31 Dec 1970). Any cracked wheel must be replaced with a serviceable item before further flight. Metal‑reinforced wheels are recommended as replacements but not mandated, shifting replacement costs and some judgment about inspection and serviceability to operators.
