Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of specified Beechcraft 60 (Duke) aeroplanes to install an exterior door operating instruction placard in accordance with Raytheon Mandatory Service Bulletin SB 11-3404. It applies to aircraft listed by serial number because door-opening instructions were found unclear following an accident. CASA, through its delegate under CAR 1998 s39.1(1), mandates compliance within 100 flight hours or 12 months from 5 September 2002; the owner/operator is responsible for fitting the placard and following the service bulletin.
