Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this is: A safety directive (called an Airworthiness Directive) for specific Beechcraft Duke aircraft.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Beechcraft Model 60 aeroplanes with serial numbers P-1 to P-42, P-44 to P-49, P-51, P-52, P-54, and P-55.

What it requires: You must follow the manufacturer's instructions in Beechcraft Service Instruction No. 0186-112 regarding the retract cable actuator arm shear rivet — likely an inspection, replacement, or modification to prevent the landing gear from failing.

When you must comply: Before the aircraft can be issued with a Certificate of Airworthiness (meaning it must be done before the plane can be legally flown or have its airworthiness certificate renewed).

Why it matters: This addresses a specific mechanical defect that could affect the safety of the aircraft's landing gear retraction system.
