Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This mandatory Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of Beechcraft 56TC aircraft with electrical fuel vent heaters to immediately disconnect power to both heaters (within 10 flight hours after 30 Sep 1971), tag them inoperative, and prevent accidental reset. Wings wiring must be inspected for chafing and repaired or sleeved and secured before heaters are re-energised. It addresses the fire/explosion hazard from damaged wiring near fuel vents.
