What this directive does

This is an aviation safety order (called an Airworthiness Directive) that applies to all models of Beechcraft 56TC Turbo Baron aircraft. It mandates a specific safety check and fix for the second row passenger seats.

What must be done

Inspect the rear attachment rails of the second row seats to check if there are physical "stops" (barriers) at the forward ends of these rails
Modify any rails lacking these stops by installing stop assemblies (part number 414-180657-3) or an equivalent approved by the Secretary (the aviation safety regulator)

Why it matters Without these stops, seats could slide too far forward during flight or turbulence, potentially injuring passengers or interfering with aircraft controls.

Who it affects Owners and operators of Beechcraft 56TC (Turbo Baron) series aircraft.
