Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Civil Aviation Safety Authority airworthiness directive requires owners/operators and maintenance personnel of Beechcraft 56TC (Turbo Baron) aeroplanes with ≥1,000 hours TIS to inspect the flap actuator bracket and adjacent structure on both RH and LH flaps for cracks/distress. The first inspection is due within 100 hours TIS after 31 Aug 1972 and then at intervals not exceeding 300 hours. It creates a recurring maintenance obligation, attendant inspection/repair costs, and aircraft downtime.
