Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This is a safety directive (called an Airworthiness Directive) that applies to specific Beechcraft Baron aeroplanes (Model 95-55 with serial numbers TC-1 through TC-137).

What it requires: Owners or operators of these aircraft must take specific action regarding a structural rib (a supporting piece of the airframe) located near the rudder torque tube (the mechanism that helps steer the plane). The exact steps aren't detailed in the directive itself; instead, operators must follow the instructions in Beechcraft Service Bulletin 95-55 No. 4 (a technical notice issued by the manufacturer).

Why it matters: This directive addresses a potential structural or safety issue with that specific part of the aircraft. Failure to comply could affect the airworthiness and safety of the aircraft.

Compliance deadline: The work had to be completed before 1 September 1971.
