Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this is: A mandatory safety directive (called an Airworthiness Directive) issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for specific Beechcraft Baron aircraft.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Beechcraft Baron models 95-C55 and 95-D55 with serial numbers TE-1 through TE-606.

What it requires: These aircraft must undergo maintenance on the centre section rear spar jack pad — a reinforced structural point on the aircraft's main wing beam where jacks are placed to lift the plane. The work must strictly follow Beechcraft Service Instruction No. 0064-067, Revision 1.

Compliance deadline: Within 200 hours of flight time or before 1 August 1969, whichever occurs first.

Why it matters: Airworthiness Directives are legally enforceable safety orders. This addresses a specific structural integrity issue that could cause damage during routine jacking operations if left unaddressed.
