Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this is: An immediate safety order (called an Airworthiness Directive) issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for specific Beechcraft aircraft.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Beechcraft Twin Bonanza models B50, C50, and D50 with serial numbers earlier than CH-353 and DH-36.

What it requires: You must immediately take action on the magneto ground leads — these are the electrical wires that ground the aircraft's ignition system (magnetos) to prevent unwanted engine firing. You must follow the exact instructions in three specific Beechcraft Service Bulletins: B50-No. 22, C50-No. 11, and D50-No. 4.

When: Immediately (the term used is "forthwith," meaning without delay).

Why it matters: Faulty magneto ground leads can cause engine misfires or failure to shut down properly, creating serious safety risks during flight. This directive forces operators to fix the issue before further flight.
