Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this means: If you own or operate specific Beechcraft 400 series aircraft (Model 400 serial numbers RJ-1 to RJ-65, or Model 400A serial numbers RK-1 to RK-93), you must fix the pilot seats to stop them sliding around unexpectedly during flight.

What you need to do: Follow the instructions in Beechcraft Service Bulletin 2536 Revision 1.

The deadline: Complete the work within 200 flight hours after 25 April 1996.

Why it matters: A seat that shifts mid-flight could cause the pilot to lose control of the aircraft. This rule prevents that specific safety risk by ensuring the flightcrew seats stay put.
