Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive (Amendment 1) requires operators of specified Beechcraft 36/48 (Bonanza) aeroplanes to inspect the right‑hand fuselage between fuselage station 83.00 and 91.00 at water line 90.3 for missing rivets, and to install any missing rivets before further flight. CASA issued the amendment to correct which serial‑numbered aircraft are affected (per a new FAA AD). Owners/operators must follow the referenced Raytheon service bulletin and the maintenance manual and meet group‑specific 100‑hour compliance windows.

AD/BEECH 36/48 Amdt 1 (Continued)

Background: The manufacturer has identified several instances of missing rivets on affected aircraft. These rivets must be present for the fuselage to carry the ultimate load and prevent critical structural failure, with loss of aircraft control.

Amendment 1 is issued in response to a new FAA AD which corrects aircraft applicability.

The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 22 March 2001.
