This safety directive requires owners and operators of Beechcraft 36 Bonanza aircraft to install clear labels (called placards) next to every fuel gauge.

What must be done:

Install a placard beside each fuel quantity gauge showing the corrected fuel readings at all major measurement marks
The placard must also show the "ungaugeable quantity" — this is the amount of fuel remaining in the tank when the gauge reads empty (fuel that sits below the sensor level)

Who it affects: All models of the Beechcraft 36 series.

When: Immediately (the directive has been in force since November 1968).
