Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive is a safety order issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for owners and operators of specific Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft (Model 35 series with serial numbers listed in the manufacturer's Service Instruction No. 1241).

What it requires:

Update emergency exit placards (signage) to meet standardised requirements
Modify the openable window latches according to Beechcraft Service Instruction No. 1241

Why it matters: These changes ensure passengers can clearly identify emergency exits and operate the windows quickly during an evacuation, potentially saving lives in an emergency.

Compliance deadline: The work must be completed within 100 hours of flight time after 31 January 1984, or at the next scheduled maintenance inspection for the aircraft's Maintenance Release (the safety certificate allowing the plane to fly), whichever occurs later.
