Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This document cancels a specific aviation safety rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 35/31) that previously required owners of Beechcraft 35 (Bonanza) aircraft to install upper torso restraints (shoulder harnesses) in front seats.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Beechcraft 35 Bonanza series aeroplanes that were certified before 1967.

Why it matters: The old rule from 1971 is no longer needed because it's been replaced by a broader, updated safety rule (AD/GENERAL/74 Amendment 1) that covers shoulder harness requirements across multiple aircraft types. From 17 January 2008, owners should follow the new general rule instead of this specific one.
