Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What it is: This is a mandatory safety order (called an Airworthiness Directive) issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) for specific Beechcraft Bonanza aeroplanes.

What it requires: Owners and operators must immediately insulate the electrical terminals on the ammeter (a device that measures electrical current) according to specific manufacturer instructions.

Who it affects: Anyone who owns or operates a Beechcraft 35, A35, B35, C35, D35, E35, F35, or G35 model Bonanza with a serial number before D4799.

Why it matters: The insulation prevents electrical short circuits or fires at the ammeter terminals. The requirement must be carried out "forthwith" (immediately) by following the specific Beechcraft Service Bulletin for your aircraft model.
