Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of Beechcraft 33/35‑33 aircraft fitted with non‑reinforced plastic control wheels to perform visual inspections for cracking at intervals not exceeding 100 hours TIS and to replace any cracked wheel with a serviceable item before further flight. It recommends—but does not mandate—metal‑reinforced replacements. The rule imposes recurring inspection and replacement costs, grounding risk if cracks are found, and some implementation ambiguity (e.g., “serviceable” and “crack” standards).
