Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This is a mandatory safety directive (an Airworthiness Directive) issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for specific Beechcraft aircraft.

What it requires: Owners or operators of Beechcraft Debonair and Bonanza model 33 and 35-33 aeroplanes (with serial numbers CD-1185 onwards and CE-231 onwards) must perform specific maintenance on the engine mount bolt nuts.

How to comply: You must follow the exact instructions in Beechcraft Service Instruction No. 0396-241, and complete the work within 25 hours of flying time after 21 August 1970.

Why it matters: This directive is legally binding. It addresses potential safety issues with engine mount hardware to prevent mechanical failure during flight. Failure to comply means the aircraft cannot legally fly.
