AD/BEECH 23/6 - Rudder Pedal Position Gear - CANCELLED

What this does: This document cancels (revokes) an old aviation safety rule that required certain Beechcraft aeroplanes to replace nylon rudder pedal gears with aluminium ones.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Beechcraft 19, 23 and 24 series aircraft. However, this cancellation is largely administrative because all affected aircraft in Australia were already required to comply with the original safety order before September 1971.

Why it matters: The original safety directive was issued back in 1964 to fix a potentially dangerous defect. Since every affected plane was fixed over 36 years ago, the unsafe condition no longer exists. This cancellation cleans up the rulebook by removing a redundant requirement that no longer serves any safety purpose.
