AD/BEECH 23/47 - Aircraft Repair - CANCELLED

This Airworthiness Directive (AD) formally cancels an outdated aviation safety rule.

What it does: The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) cancelled Directive AD/BEECH 23/47, effective 20 December 2007.

The old rule (now obsolete): Previously, this directive required a one-off safety inspection for specific Beechcraft aircraft (Models 19, 23, and 24) that had been repaired by Capricorn Aircraft Repair in Thangool, Queensland between 1985 and 1990. Owners had to complete this inspection by their next Maintenance Release (a regular safety certificate) after 21 March 1991.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of the specific Beechcraft planes repaired by that company during those years. For everyone else, this confirms the rule no longer applies.

Why it matters: The directive became obsolete because the inspection deadline passed over 16 years ago. This cancellation formally removes the legal obligation, ensuring the regulations don't contain dead rules.
