Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This mandatory safety order requires owners/operators of specific Beechcraft Model 19, 23, and 24 series aircraft (certain serial-number ranges) to inspect the horizontal stabiliser aft centre spar for cracks or damage. If an airplane has over 500 flight hours, inspect within 100 flight hours and repeat every 200 hours until a corrective modification is made, using Beechcraft Service Instruction No. 1167. The measure prevents potential tail-structure failure in flight.
