Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this is: An Airworthiness Directive (AD) — a mandatory safety order from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) requiring specific maintenance on certain aircraft.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of specific Beechcraft aeroplanes:

Model B19 with serial numbers MB-844 to MB-890
Model C23 with serial numbers M-1935 to M-2015, M-2017 to M-2029, and M-2031 to M-2038

What you must do: Inspect or replace the engine hose assembly following the exact instructions in Beechcraft Service Instruction No. 0998.

Deadline: Within 100 hours of flight time after 31 October 1978.

Why it matters: Airworthiness Directives are legally binding. If you don't complete this action by the deadline, those specific aircraft are no longer considered airworthy and cannot fly legally. This directive addresses a specific safety defect in the engine hose assemblies of these particular planes.
