This document cancels a previous aviation safety rule that applied to specific Beechcraft aeroplanes.

What it used to require: The original rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/BEECH 23/3) mandated that owners of Beechcraft 19, 23 and 24 series aircraft modify the stabilator hinge assembly (a component connecting the aircraft's tail control surface to the fuselage) in accordance with Service Bulletin No. 64-22.

What it does now: As of 27 August 2009, aircraft owners and operators are no longer required to carry out this modification. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority has determined the directive is unnecessary and removed the compliance obligation entirely.
