Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive requires operators of certain Beechcraft 200 (Super King Air) aeroplanes (models/serials listed in Beech SB 2432) to remove and inspect each engine truss-to-firewall bolt to see if it was manufactured by Dumont Aviation, and to replace any Dumont bolt with part MS20006-20/M. Inspections must be done within 150 flight hours of 17 September 1992 and any identified Dumont bolt replaced before further flight. The measure responds to possible improper heat treatment of some bolts and creates inspection and replacement costs and aircraft downtime for operators.
