Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This directive requires owners/operators of specified Beechcraft 200 (Super King Air) aeroplanes — and any with ailerons replaced after 1 Jan 1985 — to carry out the corrective maintenance in Beechcraft Mandatory Service Bulletin No. 2256 because foam in the aileron assembly can retain water, cause an out‑of‑balance condition and risk control‑surface flutter.

Compliance (at operators’ expense) must occur before the aeroplane accrues 100 flight hours after 25 Jan 1990 or at the next Maintenance Release, and is enforced by CASA.
