What this document does:

This is a safety order (called an "Airworthiness Directive") issued by Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) for specific Beechcraft 200 "Super King Air" aeroplanes.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Beechcraft 200 series aircraft with these specific serial numbers:

BB-2 through BB-41
BB-43 through BB-121
BB-123 through BB-130
BB-132 through BB-137
BB-139 through BB-157

What must be done: The aircraft's main landing gear torque tubes (components that help transfer twisting forces in the landing gear assembly) must be inspected and/or repaired according to the manufacturer's instructions in Beechcraft Service Information No. 0891.

Deadline: This work must be completed within 100 hours of flight time after 31 July 1977.

Why it matters: This directive addresses potential structural defects in the landing gear system that could compromise the aircraft's ability to land safely.
