Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This mandatory Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of specified Beechcraft 1900/1900C aircraft to seal the stabiliser and fin per Beechcraft B 2254 to stop moisture entering and freezing the control cables. The modification must be done by the next scheduled maintenance after 10 Aug 1989 or within 100 flight hours thereafter. Without it, frozen cables could seize and cause loss of pitch or directional control.
