What this document does This officially cancels a previous aviation safety rule (Airworthiness Directive) that required inspections of the undercarriage (landing gear) limit switches on Beechcraft 18 series aircraft.
Who it affects Owners and operators of Beechcraft 18 series planes. However, since these aircraft are no longer registered in Australia, the cancellation effectively removes a redundant obligation.
Why it matters The cancellation took effect on 20 December 2007. The rule is no longer enforceable because the technical documentation supporting the inspection is outdated, and the affected aircraft have been removed from the Australian Civil Aviation Register.
