Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD mandates that owners/operators of specified Beechcraft 18s fitted with listed A.M.I. seats install A.M.I. seat‑frame brace kit P/N 865K90000‑1 per A.M.I. Service Bulletin No. 25‑10‑865‑01 by 30 April 1984 to address a demonstrated seat‑frame weakness that contributed to injury in an emergency landing.

Operators pay for parts and labour; the directive prescribes a single kit and service bulletin, concentrating compliance demand and limiting alternative technical solutions.
