Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of BAe 146 and Avro 146 aeroplanes (with HCM01037A embodied and without HCM01698A) to inspect the fuselage seal/contact area per BAe Mandatory Service Bulletin ISB.53‑162 and repeat inspections until modification HCM01698A is embodied (Applicability/Requirement/Compliance).

CASA's delegate issued the AD; operators pay inspection and modification costs, must meet landing‑count deadlines for initial and recurring inspections, and schedule the modification to stop the inspection cycle (Compliance/Background).
