Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of BAe 146 Series 100 and 200 aeroplanes fitted with Messier Dowty 200884-series main landing gear side stays to carry out the corrective actions set out in BAE Systems Service Bulletin 32-166. It replaces incorrect "safe life" limits previously quoted in the Aircraft Maintenance Manual and takes effect on 4 October 2001.

The directive directly affects operators and maintenance organisations (who must carry out and fund the work) and fixes maintenance and replacement timing as specified in the Requirement document (BAE SB 32-166).
