This AD requires operators of BAe 146 aeroplanes fitted with uplock jack PN 104275001 (specific serial numbers listed in Dowty Rotol SB 146‑32‑93 Rev 1) to carry out the manufacturer’s mandatory inspection/repair or replacement steps.

It responds to a forging defect affecting a batch (41 units identified), shifting inspection and repair costs and downtime onto operators and MROs; compliance follows the technical procedures and timing in the Dowty Rotol service bulletin.
