Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This document cancels an Australian aviation safety rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/BAe 146/133 Amdt 1) that previously set maintenance limits for British Aerospace BAe 146 aircraft.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of BAe 146 series aeroplanes.

Why it matters: As of 21 October 2009, the old Australian maintenance requirements no longer apply. Instead, operators must now follow a European safety directive (EASA AD 2009-0215) issued on 7 October 2009. This change streamlines regulations by relying on safety standards from the aircraft's country of design rather than maintaining separate Australian rules.
