Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of British Aerospace BAe 146‑RJ aeroplanes (constructor numbers up to and including E3263) to inspect the aileron servo and trim‑tab drive brackets following British Aerospace Mandatory Service Bulletin 57‑48, because corrosion between tab‑drive flanges has been reported and can lead to flange cracking. Inspections must be done before 22 February 2004 (AD effective 22 January 2004). The aircraft operator must carry out and pay for inspections/repairs; the CASA delegate issued the requirement under CASR subregulation 39.1(1).
