Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This amendment requires operators of BAe 146-100/200/300 aircraft that have Erma/Sunleigh splice P/N 12197/2 in the APU or main-engine IDG feeder cables to perform yearly inspections of those in-line splices following BAe Systems Mandatory Inspection Bulletin ISB.24-139. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (via its delegate) enforces the rule; operators pay for inspections and any repairs. Installing any one of the listed modification kits ends the annual inspection requirement for the affected cable.
