Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of all BAe 146 -100/200/300 series aircraft to carry out initial and repetitive inspections of the air‑conditioning ducts in accordance with BAE Systems Inspection Service Bulletin ISB 21-156 (revised effective date 23 January 2003). CASA issued it because the sound‑attenuating material in those ducts can absorb oil and cause persistent cabin air contamination; extra inspections are mandated when contamination persists.
