Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

Mandates inspection and testing of the left‑hand engine fire‑bottle wiring on BAe 146 and Avro 146 RJ aeroplanes that have Pacific Scientific extinguisher installations (HCM01582A or HCM01582B) and the earth stud adaptor (HCM01688A); inspections must follow BAe Systems ISB.26‑065. Operators must perform and fund the checks. CASA issued the AD because BAe advised wiring can be misconnected; the AD requires verification before 31 March 2003 and exempts certain HCM01582B aircraft if ISB.26‑060 was later embodied.
