Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This safety directive requires operators of Boeing 767s in Australia to inspect and repair the leading-edge slat drive mechanism per Boeing Alert Service Bulletin 767-27A0095 Revision 1 at the next scheduled A check after 30 September 1990.

It targets torque-tube disconnection and oil-contaminated no‑back brakes to prevent uncommanded slat movement, which can compromise aerodynamics and flight safety.

Note: FAA AD T90-09-51 refers.

Compliance: At the next “A” check inspection period after 30 September 1990.
