Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

What it does: Requires operators of specific Boeing 767-300 aircraft (line numbers 754, 761, 767, 775 and 776) to carry out the technical corrective actions specified in FAA AD 2004-08-07 and referenced Boeing service bulletins to address interference between the A1 galley and an aft pressure-bulkhead radial stiffener. Compliance must occur within 18 months of 8 July 2004.

Who it affects and why it matters: Aircraft owners/operators must pay for and schedule the inspections/modifications; the AD aims to prevent fatigue cracking that could cause rapid decompression or damage to control systems.
