| Compliance: | Before 31 July 2010.Compliance with the original issue of the Airworthiness Directive constitutes compliance with this amendment. |

| Background: | The actions specified by this Directive are intended to prevent interference with venting during a rapid decompression in the bulk cargo compartment. Such interference could cause damage to the floor structure and damage to certain empennage control cables, which could result in reduced controllability of the aircraft.This amendment allows the use of revision 3 of the Boeing Service Bulletin, which incorporates an FAA AMOC for substitution of materials compliant with flame propagation regulations.The original issue of this airworthiness directive became effective on 2 October 2003. |
