Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of Boeing 767‑200 and 767‑300 aeroplanes fitted with JT9D engines to modify the thrust‑reverser system by following FAA AD 2002‑19‑11. CASA’s delegate issues the directive and sets a 24‑month compliance deadline from the effective date to prevent failure of thrust‑reverser deactivation pins and possible in‑flight deployment. Operators (airlines/owners) must fund and schedule the prescribed modification and follow the FAA‑referenced procedures to comply.
