Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

Requires inspections of specified Boeing 767 main landing gear outboard support fuse pins and, if corrosion or plating cracks are found, corrective action per the referenced FAA directive. Applies to Model 767 aircraft, line numbers 1–609, fitted with 4330M steel fuse pins. The rule aims to prevent fuse-pin failure that could cause landing-gear collapse; installing newer 15-5PH CRES pins per Boeing service instructions removes the need for repeated inspections.
