Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

What it does: Requires Boeing 747 operators with STC ST01004NY-installed cargo restraint straps (part 1519-MCIDS) to stop using those straps as the sole means to secure cargo on TSO C90c/NAS3610 pallets. Instead the straps may only be used as supplemental restraints or to secure cargo to aircraft floor fittings, and only within the 5,000 lb strap rating.

Who pays/decides: Operators must update the AFM and WBM within 14 days of 1 December 2004; the CASA delegate enforces compliance.
