Plain English Summary

4/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires identification, inspection, corrective action and replacement of H‑11 steel bolts on the outer chord of the aft pressure bulkhead at body station 2360 for specified Boeing 747 models (line numbers 1–644). It mandates compliance with FAA AD 2003-11-25 and Boeing Alert Service Bulletin 747-53A2474 (Requirement; Compliance), effective 7 August 2003.

Operators must carry out inspections, repairs and eventual replacement with Inconel bolts at their expense; this will create maintenance time, parts‑procurement needs and record‑keeping obligations.
